Program Goals & Objectives:
Self-awareness and self-assurance are vital precepts of our core philosophy. Developing the ability to see how you are perceived by others is one of the biggest steps that any individual with developmental disabilities can make. The triumphs of our participants as they navigate life and interact appropriately in various situations helps them become contributing members of the community at large.
Participants engage in developmentally appropriate social and skill building activities. They address basic goals such as maintaining personal hygiene, seeking medical attention when needed, exercising to stay healthy, buying the right foods to eat a nutritionally balanced diet and selecting weather appropriate clothing.
Club ASPIRE is located in Pasadena, California, the ‘City of Roses.’ The program ratio is 1:4, with small teams facilitating practical small group instruction. Program activities take place in the greater community as much as possible.
